Plisse Pleated Porcelain Egg Cups by Pillivuyt — Set of 6

Fine Plisse pleats introduce a surprising amount of architecture to the modest egg cup. Their delicate vertical texture gives a simple breakfast an especially considered detail.

“A soft-boiled egg is a small ceremony to me. A pleated cup and a folded linen napkin are all that breakfast requires.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Established in France in 1818, Pillivuyt has been producing porcelain at its Mehun-sur-Yèvre manufacture since 1854. More than two centuries of accumulated knowledge inform its precise forms, remarkably smooth glaze, and enduring approach to functional tableware.

Fired at high temperatures, Pillivuyt porcelain develops a dense, nonporous surface that combines the refinement of fine French craftsmanship with the demands of everyday use.
